The "Veggie Bin" is one of our most popular projects. The wire mesh panels on the front of each of the three bins allow air to circulate, keeping items dry and fresh. It's also great for bread and onions. You can make one door solid, too, to keep potatoes in the dark.

Country style makes it perfect for many kitchens. The completed unit measures 40" tall, 19" wide, and 12" deep. The hinged bins each measure about 10" deep by 15" wide. Pine is the wood we suggest for a country feel, but maple and oak are also nice.

It's a great intermediate level project as most cuts are straight. You get photos, a list of materials, instructions, diagrams, and full size patterns. Very popular and rightly so!

Cloths used to wipe stain can be safely air dried in a well ventilated area away from pets and children. Welcome fellow woodworker! Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove. Wipe the clear sheild of your safety glasses with a dryer static cling sheet -- it will keep sawdust from sticking to them! Use a moist cloth to slightly dampen your hands before feeding stock through a cutter -- it gives you a much better grip on the stock. Old croquet mallets, cut down to size, make inexpensive backup woodworking mallets! Petroleum jelly and cooking oils make perfect inexpensive, non-toxic light stains for projects. Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole.
