Here is a useful little project. If you prefer, omit the decorative scrollsaw cutouts -- or just imagine it in stained birch or cedar. There are always options for construction, but we've found that the special women in our lives love it as is. It's easy to make and the materials are very inexpensive, but it's a very useful and attractive project.

The plan comes with full size patterns, a list of materials you need, instructions, and assembly diagrams. It is easily wheeled around the yard or patio to change the look of the area, or to change the amount of sunlight/rain that the plants get. Each tray is removeable, too, for easy gardening. A fun project for any skill level.

Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole. A roll up window blind or shade is a perfect place to store woodworking plans -- just tape them down and let the shade roll them up. Keep your saw blades clean at all times. A gooey blade can cause dangerous kick back. Wipe the clear sheild of your safety glasses with a dryer static cling sheet -- it will keep sawdust from sticking to them! Measure twice, cut once -- the paramount rule of building! Keep your table saw push stick close at hand by fastening it to the front of your saw table with velcro or magnets so you can quickly grab it when needed. Use a moist cloth to slightly dampen your hands before feeding stock through a cutter -- it gives you a much better grip on the stock. Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove.
