Simple, but functional -- that is the Shaker way. This bench is a perfect example of Shaker design in practice. The bench is 11-1/4" wide, 32" long, and 16-1/2" high. You can build this bench out of just about any type of wood -- all cut from one flat 1 x 12 board.

Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove.
