The structure is 325 square feet, measuring 13' 6" high to tip of roof, with standard construction 8' wall height. The design uses lots of windows making it perfect as a winter sunroom. It also has the potential to be used as a greenhouse.

You will get step by step instructions to go along with the large fold-out shop drawings. You or your contractor should be familiar with how to attach such a structure to your existing house, as the plans provide no information or material lists for this aspect of the project (as all homes are different). There is, however, plenty of information that focuses on the construction of the addition itself.

Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole. Wipe the clear sheild of your safety glasses with a dryer static cling sheet -- it will keep sawdust from sticking to them! If you have to bend small pieces of wood, wrap them in a damp towel and put them in the microwave for 2 minutes on high -- be certain no metal is present. Covering the back side of sandpaper with duct tape will make it last MUCH longer. A roll up window blind or shade is a perfect place to store woodworking plans -- just tape them down and let the shade roll them up. Keep your saw blades clean at all times. A gooey blade can cause dangerous kick back. Petroleum jelly and cooking oils make perfect inexpensive, non-toxic light stains for projects. Extend the life of your tack cloths by putting them in baby food jars or ziplock storage bags.
