Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole. Petroleum jelly and cooking oils make perfect inexpensive, non-toxic light stains for projects. Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove. Covering the back side of sandpaper with duct tape will make it last MUCH longer. Cloths used to wipe stain can be safely air dried in a well ventilated area away from pets and children.
