If there is a special gardener in your life, or if you are a gardener yourself, this project is sure to become a quick favorite either in the house, shed, or green house. The two trays on the upper shelf (pictured) are removeable, allowing you to easily put plants in the sun or rain if need be, or to take them to the potting table or shed for some maintenence. Bottom shelf and trays are slotted for good drainage.

Measure twice, cut once -- the paramount rule of building! Abrasive wheels can be cleaned of goo with cooking spray -- it also helps prevent buildup of particulate matter. If you have to bend small pieces of wood, wrap them in a damp towel and put them in the microwave for 2 minutes on high -- be certain no metal is present. Keep your saw blades clean at all times. A gooey blade can cause dangerous kick back. Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole. Petroleum jelly and cooking oils make perfect inexpensive, non-toxic light stains for projects. Use a moist cloth to slightly dampen your hands before feeding stock through a cutter -- it gives you a much better grip on the stock. Keep your stains and glues from freezing in your non-heated workshop by storing them in a plastic food cooler. Neat!
