While the third and final project is a free standing quilt rack with a peg system allowing for you to move quilts around front to back, up and down the rack -- sort of like the old library newspaper holders.

If you have to bend small pieces of wood, wrap them in a damp towel and put them in the microwave for 2 minutes on high -- be certain no metal is present. White pencils are very useful in woodworking...they make easy to see lines on darker wood stocks. Petroleum jelly and cooking oils make perfect inexpensive, non-toxic light stains for projects. Use a moist cloth to slightly dampen your hands before feeding stock through a cutter -- it gives you a much better grip on the stock. Abrasive wheels can be cleaned of goo with cooking spray -- it also helps prevent buildup of particulate matter. Measure twice, cut once -- the paramount rule of building! The tips of different sizes of nails can be used as drill bits, working well on most wood stocks. Cloths used to wipe stain can be safely air dried in a well ventilated area away from pets and children. Welcome fellow woodworker! Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole. Extend the life of your tack cloths by putting them in baby food jars or ziplock storage bags. Keep your saw blades clean at all times. A gooey blade can cause dangerous kick back. A roll up window blind or shade is a perfect place to store woodworking plans -- just tape them down and let the shade roll them up.
