This was the first time I've ever built something from someone else's plans, so I really didn't know what to expect. I was very pleasantly surprised. I actually recieved the plans sooner than I thought after ordering. I immediately hugged around my wood heater and read through them. By the time I started building, I felt I was working with one of my own designs. The plans are that detailed. I completed my first motrcycle rocker in two and a half day. I do however have a couple coats of poly to still put o it when I get time. These plans are GREAT. I will definately be ordering more. I only had one small complaint while building. The angles weren't provided for the beveled cuts on the frame. Any woodshop has a speed square though that can be used to figure them out fom the full size picture of the completed project that's on the plans.
I recommend these plans to anyone wanting to make a beautifel heirloom quality toy for that special loved one in their family. The picture makes it look difficult, but with the full size patterns, anyone with even minor woodworking experience could get it done. While I changed a few minor details on my first one, the plans also come with detailed instructions to complete the project to look just like the picture. On the seat for example, it even gives instructions for completing it for someone who has only a benchtop band saw. They took into account that not everyone has expensive equipment. That impressed me. I've seen other plans that people have had that only assumed That everyone had a dream shop. This is the reason I have avoided plans. They left small time woodworkers like myself out n the cold.
To make a long story short, buy these plans. Build the bike. Afterwards, you WILL want to buy more plans from woodcraftplans.com.
