Tree Seat Plans
[U-911]
$9.95

A tree seat is a good place to sit and rest while you're raking leaves, or while you're just admiring your lawn and home. The tree seat project uses standard sizes of pine or redwood, along with easy-to-find hardware like wood screws and nails. All of the cuts are basic, angular cuts or are just straight. You could probably build this entire project with a circular saw and hand-held jig saw if you had to -- it's a project the beginner can tackle with patience and you old pros will have it done in no time at all.

The plan is designed for a tree diameter of 14 inches, but it's easy to make adjustments for larger trees by adding a uniform length to the center of all cross members. You can stain the project as pictured, or let it weather naturally.

A gooey blade can cause dangerous kick back.            Wipe the clear sheild of your safety glasses with a dryer static cling sheet -- it will keep sawdust from sticking to them!            A roll up window blind or shade is a perfect place to store woodworking plans -- just tape them down and let the shade roll them up.            Keep your stains and glues from freezing in your non-heated workshop by storing them in a plastic food cooler.
