Beginners need not fear this project. Full size patterns, instructions, and diagrams see that your trouble is minimized. The wishing well stands 41" tall, so it's a great size for gardens and flowerbeds, but perhaps not the best choice for the middle of a large yard.

Build from cedar as pictured for outside weathering. Project is inexpensive to build and you can do it in one weekend. We have plenty more wishing well plans, so look around!

Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole. Keep your stains and glues from freezing in your non-heated workshop by storing them in a plastic food cooler. Neat! Petroleum jelly and cooking oils make perfect inexpensive, non-toxic light stains for projects. Covering the back side of sandpaper with duct tape will make it last MUCH longer.
