Th mama bear stands 36" tall, while the polar bear cub is 24" tall. You get full size patterns to trace for all pieces, detailed instructions for building, a list of materials needed to build both bears pictured, and of course our Toll Free woodworker support (should you need it).

Some light assembly is required to get the 3-D leg flare effect, but the project is still at the beginner level. A hand held jig saw, a small number of wood screws, and some paint is all you need.

Extend the life of your tack cloths by putting them in baby food jars or ziplock storage bags. Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole. Use a moist cloth to slightly dampen your hands before feeding stock through a cutter -- it gives you a much better grip on the stock. Abrasive wheels can be cleaned of goo with cooking spray -- it also helps prevent buildup of particulate matter. A roll up window blind or shade is a perfect place to store woodworking plans -- just tape them down and let the shade roll them up. Petroleum jelly and cooking oils make perfect inexpensive, non-toxic light stains for projects. Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove. Cloths used to wipe stain can be safely air dried in a well ventilated area away from pets and children. Covering the back side of sandpaper with duct tape will make it last MUCH longer.
