Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole. Petroleum jelly and cooking oils make perfect inexpensive, non-toxic light stains for projects. Abrasive wheels can be cleaned of goo with cooking spray -- it also helps prevent buildup of particulate matter. Keep your saw blades clean at all times. A gooey blade can cause dangerous kick back. A roll up window blind or shade is a perfect place to store woodworking plans -- just tape them down and let the shade roll them up.
