Use a moist cloth to slightly dampen your hands before feeding stock through a cutter -- it gives you a much better grip on the stock. Wipe the clear sheild of your safety glasses with a dryer static cling sheet -- it will keep sawdust from sticking to them! Abrasive wheels can be cleaned of goo with cooking spray -- it also helps prevent buildup of particulate matter. Extend the life of your tack cloths by putting them in baby food jars or ziplock storage bags. Cloths used to wipe stain can be safely air dried in a well ventilated area away from pets and children. Keep your saw blades clean at all times. A gooey blade can cause dangerous kick back. Petroleum jelly and cooking oils make perfect inexpensive, non-toxic light stains for projects. Keep your table saw push stick close at hand by fastening it to the front of your saw table with velcro or magnets so you can quickly grab it when needed.
