A matching piece for our Mission Coffee Table, this classic piece of furniture features a convenient 12-3/4" by 17-3/4" drawer, as well as a 15" by 19" display shelf which is fixed 6" above the floor. In keeping true to the style, through-tenon construction is used on the legs of this 20", by 26", by 25-1/2" high piece. Classic Mission styling is authentic.

This is a blueprint style plan which is heralded by beginners and experts alike as being a pleasure to work from because all parts are printed in full size -- all joinery is shown in actual size, curved workpieces are all in full size, therefore you can measure and trace straight from the drawing if necessary. A bill of materials doubles as an exact cutting list, there is a detailed exploded diagram, and all hardware requirements are provided. The exploded diagram so detailed that project specific assembly instructions are not provided. A special booklet entitled Guide to Building Wood Furniture is included with each Furniture Designs, Inc. plan and includes many tips explaining the "component theory" of woodworking.

Old croquet mallets, cut down to size, make inexpensive backup woodworking mallets! Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole. If you have to bend small pieces of wood, wrap them in a damp towel and put them in the microwave for 2 minutes on high -- be certain no metal is present. Wipe the clear sheild of your safety glasses with a dryer static cling sheet -- it will keep sawdust from sticking to them! Keep your table saw push stick close at hand by fastening it to the front of your saw table with velcro or magnets so you can quickly grab it when needed. Cloths used to wipe stain can be safely air dried in a well ventilated area away from pets and children. Keep your saw blades clean at all times. A gooey blade can cause dangerous kick back. Covering the back side of sandpaper with duct tape will make it last MUCH longer. Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove. Measure twice, cut once -- the paramount rule of building!
