Easily identified by its clean lines, sturdy mortise and tenon construction, and an ability to blend with many other furniture styles, the table this plan builds is authentic in its Mission styling. It will look terrific in your living room, family room, or in the front hall.

A seven page instructional booklet has many diagrams and illustrations -- information that really helps the beginner to learn, while the 18" x 20" shop drawings allow the advanced woodworker to finish the project without being held back by a lot of information. The table is 50" long, by 28" high, by 17" wide. The plans call for it to be made of solid oak, so you will be gluing up (or laminating) wood panels. Due to the in-depth nature of these plans, it's a good learning plan for the beginner to mortise and tenon joinery and Mission furniture.

Use a moist cloth to slightly dampen your hands before feeding stock through a cutter -- it gives you a much better grip on the stock. Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove. Keep your stains and glues from freezing in your non-heated workshop by storing them in a plastic food cooler. Neat! Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole. White pencils are very useful in woodworking...they make easy to see lines on darker wood stocks.
