Designed to go with our Mission style bedroom furniture, the nightstand has three graduated drawers and uses through-tenon construction. We recommend using Stickley type drawer pulls and natural wood drawer slides, not hardware. The final dimensions on this attractive piece are: 24" wide, 17" deep, 25" tall. Detailed instruction booklet included.

This is a blueprint style plan which is heralded by beginners and experts alike as being a pleasure to work from because all parts are printed in full size -- all joinery is shown in actual size, curved workpieces are all in full size, therefore you can measure and trace straight from the drawing if necessary. A bill of materials doubles as an exact cutting list, there is a detailed exploded diagram, and all hardware requirements are provided. A special booklet entitled Guide to Building Wood Furniture is included with each Furniture Designs, Inc. plan and includes many tips explaining the "component theory" of woodworking.

Keep your stains and glues from freezing in your non-heated workshop by storing them in a plastic food cooler. Neat! Welcome fellow woodworker! Extend the life of your tack cloths by putting them in baby food jars or ziplock storage bags. Use a moist cloth to slightly dampen your hands before feeding stock through a cutter -- it gives you a much better grip on the stock. Wipe the clear sheild of your safety glasses with a dryer static cling sheet -- it will keep sawdust from sticking to them! Welcome fellow woodworker! A roll up window blind or shade is a perfect place to store woodworking plans -- just tape them down and let the shade roll them up. Petroleum jelly and cooking oils make perfect inexpensive, non-toxic light stains for projects. Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove. Keep your table saw push stick close at hand by fastening it to the front of your saw table with velcro or magnets so you can quickly grab it when needed. White pencils are very useful in woodworking...they make easy to see lines on darker wood stocks. Keep your saw blades clean at all times. A gooey blade can cause dangerous kick back.
