Covering the back side of sandpaper with duct tape will make it last MUCH longer. Use a moist cloth to slightly dampen your hands before feeding stock through a cutter -- it gives you a much better grip on the stock. Measure twice, cut once -- the paramount rule of building! Wipe the clear sheild of your safety glasses with a dryer static cling sheet -- it will keep sawdust from sticking to them! Keep your saw blades clean at all times. A gooey blade can cause dangerous kick back. White pencils are very useful in woodworking...they make easy to see lines on darker wood stocks.
