Less than 20 pieces to cut for this cute little project. Any cat lover will appreciate this project. Use different color stains to get a tabby, calico, or other sort of kitty. As with all kits, wood, patterns, and even hanging tacks are included. Project is about 6" wide.
If you're new to intarsia, there are few better scrollers than Kathy Wise to introduce you to the system. If you can use a scrollsaw, you can make a beautiful intarsia project like the ones pictured below. The intarsia process is like making a detailed puzzle. You cut the "puzzle pieces" with your scroll saw, then you shape the pieces with a sanding device to give them some depth -- a three dimensional appearance -- usually you just round the edges.
