Here's a plan that many of our customers have been asking for -- the kitchen island that is functional, sturdy, not too tough to build, and still attractive in the modern home.

Our island design has storage for multiple bottles of wine below the thick chopping block countertop and storage drawers. A slatted storage shelf below is a great place for commonly used pots and pans, while providing extra anti-racking support for the structure.

A list of materials and hardware is included, along with photographs during construction, assembly diagrams, exploded views, and instructions. The construction could be done by an ambitious beginner, but is better for intermediates. 48" long, 24" wide, 36" tall.
