If you're looking for a quality set of children's dining furniture, you will be hard-pressed to find a plan which will help you build a set better than this.

The chairs are designed after "real" adult-sized ones and so is the table. If you are a woodworker who appreciates workmanship and a sturdy design, this project will please you to no end. The table extends with leaf to 40" (closed, 32"). Seat height on chairs is about 12", table height about 20".

Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole. Abrasive wheels can be cleaned of goo with cooking spray -- it also helps prevent buildup of particulate matter. Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove. Covering the back side of sandpaper with duct tape will make it last MUCH longer. The tips of different sizes of nails can be used as drill bits, working well on most wood stocks.
