An interesting design, this table makes use of easily obtainable 2x4 and 1x8 lumber which also keeps down on the overall weight. The finished table has over 14 square feet of table top space, almost 50" per person of seating space, and measures 96" across at the widest point.

It's a large table and a sizeable project, but the simple construction uses easy to find lumber and fasteners, so nothing is too problematic with it. The large format, detailed plan has numerous measured drawings and exploded diagrams, plus a full list of materials, cutting list, construction checklist, and instructions.
