The router table featured in this plan is designed around a 3 horsepower plunge router which accepts the ever expanding line of 1/2" shank router bits. There are two vacuum hook ups and a 24"x 36" work table. Keep your stains and glues from freezing in your non-heated workshop by storing them in a plastic food cooler. Neat! Petroleum jelly and cooking oils make perfect inexpensive, non-toxic light stains for projects. Covering the back side of sandpaper with duct tape will make it last MUCH longer. The tips of different sizes of nails can be used as drill bits, working well on most wood stocks. Abrasive wheels can be cleaned of goo with cooking spray -- it also helps prevent buildup of particulate matter. Keep your table saw push stick close at hand by fastening it to the front of your saw table with velcro or magnets so you can quickly grab it when needed. Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove. Use a moist cloth to slightly dampen your hands before feeding stock through a cutter -- it gives you a much better grip on the stock. Keep your saw blades clean at all times.
