If you're ordering the Kiddie Kitchen plans, the hardware kit may be an option you want to look at. It contains the following pieces which may or may not be difficult to find:

(16) furniture glides

(1) piano hinge (36")

(1) lid support

(8) magnetic catches

(10) hinges

(2) 1" diameter wooden knobs

(4) 1 3/4" diameter wooden knobs

(4) stove burner decals

(11) drawer pulls

This is pretty much everything except for the basin for the sink and the actual wood screws for assembly. Shipping for the kit is not extra, but the hardware usually arrives 7 to 14 days behind the plans (which normally come super quickly).

If you have to bend small pieces of wood, wrap them in a damp towel and put them in the microwave for 2 minutes on high -- be certain no metal is present. Keep your table saw push stick close at hand by fastening it to the front of your saw table with velcro or magnets so you can quickly grab it when needed. Old croquet mallets, cut down to size, make inexpensive backup woodworking mallets! Abrasive wheels can be cleaned of goo with cooking spray -- it also helps prevent buildup of particulate matter. Measure twice, cut once -- the paramount rule of building! Covering the back side of sandpaper with duct tape will make it last MUCH longer. Did you know you can Mail-In your order? Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole. Keep your stains and glues from freezing in your non-heated workshop by storing them in a plastic food cooler. Neat! A roll up window blind or shade is a perfect place to store woodworking plans -- just tape them down and let the shade roll them up. Cloths used to wipe stain can be safely air dried in a well ventilated area away from pets and children. Petroleum jelly and cooking oils make perfect inexpensive, non-toxic light stains for projects. The tips of different sizes of nails can be used as drill bits, working well on most wood stocks. Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove.
