Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove. Old croquet mallets, cut down to size, make inexpensive backup woodworking mallets! Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole.
