Abrasive wheels can be cleaned of goo with cooking spray -- it also helps prevent buildup of particulate matter. Measure twice, cut once -- the paramount rule of building! Wipe the clear sheild of your safety glasses with a dryer static cling sheet -- it will keep sawdust from sticking to them! Welcome fellow woodworker! A roll up window blind or shade is a perfect place to store woodworking plans -- just tape them down and let the shade roll them up. Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole. Extend the life of your tack cloths by putting them in baby food jars or ziplock storage bags. Petroleum jelly and cooking oils make perfect inexpensive, non-toxic light stains for projects. Covering the back side of sandpaper with duct tape will make it last MUCH longer. Keep your stains and glues from freezing in your non-heated workshop by storing them in a plastic food cooler. Neat!
