This project is clearly a woodworker's favorite. What better way to hail your guests and showcase your woodworking talent? One fellow woodworker added a bug zapper to the top of his lighthouse (which actually looked pretty neat). Another customer put a revolving light with a timer on his lighthouse and stuck it by his pond!

Full size plans for all curved pieces are included with this time tested plan, along with step by step instructions, a list of materials, photos, and measured drawings. The lighthouse can stand by itself with no improvements, but as seen in the picture, we recommend a solar light be added to the top of the lighthouse so it becomes a beacon. 5 feet tall.

Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole. Covering the back side of sandpaper with duct tape will make it last MUCH longer. Wipe the clear sheild of your safety glasses with a dryer static cling sheet -- it will keep sawdust from sticking to them! Measure twice, cut once -- the paramount rule of building! Cloths used to wipe stain can be safely air dried in a well ventilated area away from pets and children. If you have to bend small pieces of wood, wrap them in a damp towel and put them in the microwave for 2 minutes on high -- be certain no metal is present. Welcome fellow woodworker! Abrasive wheels can be cleaned of goo with cooking spray -- it also helps prevent buildup of particulate matter. White pencils are very useful in woodworking...they make easy to see lines on darker wood stocks.
