9' Dutch Windmill Plans
[U-739]
$10.00

Plan builds a Dutch style wind mill that stands 9' tall to the tip of the blades! Many of our fellow woodworkers have built this project and they really enjoy it. Painting guide is included to decorate as pictured, but we recommend devising your own scheme. A great fixture for a large yard which is relatively easy to build for most any skill level.

Need a smaller version of the Dutch Windmill?

Plans include a materials list, assembly diagrams, instructions, and full size patterns where required. Plywood is the main material required, so the cost is economical. The propellar assembly is meant to sit atop a lazy susan bearing which allows it to turn into the wind, while the propellar itself is on a 1/2" shaft with bearings for rotation -- fully functional.

The plans detail how the hardware works and where it goes, so you can buy it yourself from sources of your choice or even fashion it. However, if you want the complete hardware kit which comes with the lazy susan bearing, and the propellar shaft and bearings, we can have it drop shipped to you from the manufacturer.

There is a hardware kit available for this project.

Keep your table saw push stick close at hand by fastening it to the front of your saw table with velcro or magnets so you can quickly grab it when needed.            Call 1-800-296-6256 Mon-Fri from 8am to 2pm, EST, with your question or order.            Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove.            Abrasive wheels can be cleaned of goo with cooking spray -- it also helps prevent buildup of particulate matter.            Our low-cost First Class shipping is only $3.5o -- most plans parcels arrive to U.S.A. customers in just 3-5 days.            Keep your stains and glues from freezing in your non-heated workshop by storing them in a plastic food cooler. Neat!            Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole.            Sign up for FREE Email Sale Alerts and save 10-30% on plans from time to time. A gooey blade can cause dangerous kick back.            Welcome fellow woodworker!            A roll up window blind or shade is a perfect place to store woodworking plans -- just tape them down and let the shade roll them up.            Welcome fellow woodworker!            Did you know you can Mail-In your order? Check the left of the page for a Mail-In Orderform link.            Measure twice, cut once -- the paramount rule of building!            Cloths used to wipe stain can be safely air dried in a well ventilated area away from pets and children.            Use a moist cloth to slightly dampen your hands before feeding stock through a cutter -- it gives you a much better grip on the stock.            If you have to bend small pieces of wood, wrap them in a damp towel and put them in the microwave for 2 minutes on high -- be certain no metal is present.            White pencils are very useful in woodworking...they make easy to see lines on darker wood stocks.            Petroleum jelly and cooking oils make perfect inexpensive, non-toxic light stains for projects.            Wipe the clear sheild of your safety glasses with a dryer static cling sheet -- it will keep sawdust from sticking to them!            The tips of different sizes of nails can be used as drill bits, working well on most wood stocks.            Covering the back side of sandpaper with duct tape will make it last MUCH longer.            Old croquet mallets, cut down to size, make inexpensive backup woodworking mallets!            Extend the life of your tack cloths by putting them in baby food jars or ziplock storage bags.
