This authentic Duncan Phyfe dining table can expand using its three leafs to stretch to 96" in length, seating 10 adults nicely -- even 12 in a pinch. There are two big challenges in building this table: the pedestal supports and the slide mechanism for the table extensions. The table top can be made of veneered hardwood plywood or solid material.

The tips of different sizes of nails can be used as drill bits, working well on most wood stocks. Measure twice, cut once -- the paramount rule of building!
