Every kid loves dinosaurs -- and this one is fashioned after the classic favorite Brontosaurus, or thunder lizard, so you can't really go wrong with him! Full size patterns are provided for all pieces, so the beginner shouldn't shy away from this project. The instructions, materials list, and photos will guide you all the way to a successful birthday or anytime project.

Basic tools can complete this rocking horse project: a hand held jig saw or bandsaw, a table or circular saw, some simple hand tools, and a few clamps. Finished, the dino rocking horse stands 36" tall, 45" long, and 12" wide. Sure to be a pleaser.

Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove. Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole. Wipe the clear sheild of your safety glasses with a dryer static cling sheet -- it will keep sawdust from sticking to them!
