Cloths used to wipe stain can be safely air dried in a well ventilated area away from pets and children. Petroleum jelly and cooking oils make perfect inexpensive, non-toxic light stains for projects. The tips of different sizes of nails can be used as drill bits, working well on most wood stocks.
