Wipe the clear sheild of your safety glasses with a dryer static cling sheet -- it will keep sawdust from sticking to them! Use a moist cloth to slightly dampen your hands before feeding stock through a cutter -- it gives you a much better grip on the stock. Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove. Petroleum jelly and cooking oils make perfect inexpensive, non-toxic light stains for projects. The tips of different sizes of nails can be used as drill bits, working well on most wood stocks. Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole.
