Welcome fellow woodworker! Cloths used to wipe stain can be safely air dried in a well ventilated area away from pets and children. Use a moist cloth to slightly dampen your hands before feeding stock through a cutter -- it gives you a much better grip on the stock. Wipe the clear sheild of your safety glasses with a dryer static cling sheet -- it will keep sawdust from sticking to them! Petroleum jelly and cooking oils make perfect inexpensive, non-toxic light stains for projects. Welcome fellow woodworker! If you have to bend small pieces of wood, wrap them in a damp towel and put them in the microwave for 2 minutes on high -- be certain no metal is present.
