Here's how another customer described building:

"For the mane and tail, I used a 3/8 inch synthetic rope that consists of three twisted cords of multiple strands. For the mane, I drilled 3 rows of 18, 9/32 dia. holes (54 holes) on 1/2 inch centers with the center row off-set by 1/4 inch. I burned (melted) the end of the three cords and cut 2.25 inch plugs, continuing until I had enough plugs. I then combed the plugs and inserted and glued the burned ends into the holes. I used the same approach for the tail using 5 cords in one 1/2 inch hole. Again, everyone who sees Beezer thinks he is gorgeous and wants one. This one is for my newest granddaughter."

Welcome fellow woodworker! Keep your stains and glues from freezing in your non-heated workshop by storing them in a plastic food cooler. Neat! Did you know you can Mail-In your order? Check the left of the page for a Mail-In Orderform link. Use a moist cloth to slightly dampen your hands before feeding stock through a cutter -- it gives you a much better grip on the stock. Cloths used to wipe stain can be safely air dried in a well ventilated area away from pets and children. Keep your saw blades clean at all times. A gooey blade can cause dangerous kick back. A roll up window blind or shade is a perfect place to store woodworking plans -- just tape them down and let the shade roll them up. The tips of different sizes of nails can be used as drill bits, working well on most wood stocks. Covering the back side of sandpaper with duct tape will make it last MUCH longer. Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole. White pencils are very useful in woodworking...they make easy to see lines on darker wood stocks. Old croquet mallets, cut down to size, make inexpensive backup woodworking mallets! If you have to bend small pieces of wood, wrap them in a damp towel and put them in the microwave for 2 minutes on high -- be certain no metal is present. Keep your table saw push stick close at hand by fastening it to the front of your saw table with velcro or magnets so you can quickly grab it when needed. Extend the life of your tack cloths by putting them in baby food jars or ziplock storage bags. Wipe the clear sheild of your safety glasses with a dryer static cling sheet -- it will keep sawdust from sticking to them! Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove.
