A roll up window blind or shade is a perfect place to store woodworking plans -- just tape them down and let the shade roll them up. Keep your table saw push stick close at hand by fastening it to the front of your saw table with velcro or magnets so you can quickly grab it when needed. Petroleum jelly and cooking oils make perfect inexpensive, non-toxic light stains for projects. Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove. Cloths used to wipe stain can be safely air dried in a well ventilated area away from pets and children. White pencils are very useful in woodworking...they make easy to see lines on darker wood stocks. Keep your stains and glues from freezing in your non-heated workshop by storing them in a plastic food cooler. Neat! Wipe the clear sheild of your safety glasses with a dryer static cling sheet -- it will keep sawdust from sticking to them! Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole.
