Keep your stains and glues from freezing in your non-heated workshop by storing them in a plastic food cooler. Neat! Welcome fellow woodworker! White pencils are very useful in woodworking...they make easy to see lines on darker wood stocks. Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole. Measure twice, cut once -- the paramount rule of building! Old croquet mallets, cut down to size, make inexpensive backup woodworking mallets! Cloths used to wipe stain can be safely air dried in a well ventilated area away from pets and children. A roll up window blind or shade is a perfect place to store woodworking plans -- just tape them down and let the shade roll them up. If you have to bend small pieces of wood, wrap them in a damp towel and put them in the microwave for 2 minutes on high -- be certain no metal is present.
