Child's Adirondack Chair w/ Footrest Plans
[FD-710]
$10.00

Here are two projects you can make which your child or grandchild is sure to love. Sturdy design will withstand many years of hard use. With this detailed chair plan, you get designs for an appropriately sized footrest which matches the chair perfectly.

The seat is 9-3/4" tall at the knee bend and almost 22" wide overall -- a great size for many ages. . .the child will mentally outgrow the little chair before it's actually outgrown.

This is a blueprint style plan which is heralded by beginners and experts alike as being a pleasure to work from because all parts are printed in full size -- all joinery is shown in actual size, curved workpieces are all in full size, therefore you can measure and trace straight from the drawing if necessary. A bill of materials doubles as an exact cutting list, there is a detailed exploded diagram, and all hardware requirements are provided. The exploded diagram so detailed that project specific assembly instructions are not provided. A special booklet entitled Guide to Building Wood Furniture is included with each Furniture Designs, Inc. plan and includes many tips explaining the "component theory" of woodworking.

Covering the back side of sandpaper with duct tape will make it last MUCH longer.            The tips of different sizes of nails can be used as drill bits, working well on most wood stocks.            Use a moist cloth to slightly dampen your hands before feeding stock through a cutter -- it gives you a much better grip on the stock.            Old croquet mallets, cut down to size, make inexpensive backup woodworking mallets!            Call 1-800-296-6256 Mon-Fri from 8am to 2pm, EST, with your question or order.            Our low-cost First Class shipping is only $3.5o -- most plans parcels arrive to U.S.A. customers in just 3-5 days.            Welcome fellow woodworker!            Keep your stains and glues from freezing in your non-heated workshop by storing them in a plastic food cooler. Neat!            Abrasive wheels can be cleaned of goo with cooking spray -- it also helps prevent buildup of particulate matter.            Welcome fellow woodworker!            Cloths used to wipe stain can be safely air dried in a well ventilated area away from pets and children.            Sign up for FREE Email Sale Alerts and save 10-30% on plans from time to time. Check the left of the page for a link.            Wipe the clear sheild of your safety glasses with a dryer static cling sheet -- it will keep sawdust from sticking to them!            Did you know you can Mail-In your order? Check the left of the page for a Mail-In Orderform link.            Keep your table saw push stick close at hand by fastening it to the front of your saw table with velcro or magnets so you can quickly grab it when needed.            If you have to bend small pieces of wood, wrap them in a damp towel and put them in the microwave for 2 minutes on high -- be certain no metal is present.            Extend the life of your tack cloths by putting them in baby food jars or ziplock storage bags.            White pencils are very useful in woodworking...they make easy to see lines on darker wood stocks.            Petroleum jelly and cooking oils make perfect inexpensive, non-toxic light stains for projects.            Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove.            Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole.            Measure twice, cut once -- the paramount rule of building!            Keep your saw blades clean at all times. A gooey blade can cause dangerous kick back.            A roll up window blind or shade is a perfect place to store woodworking plans -- just tape them down and let the shade roll them up.
