Canopy Glider Swing Plans
[U-818]
$12.00

Clearly the best design we've seen, this canopied glider swing provides shade for 2 adults with a drink caddy built into the design. Sturdy project will get plenty of use.

A list of materials, detailed instructions, photos, and measured drawings are all included with the plan. The project is not as complicated as it might look, but you should plan on a good amount of assembly time and cutting. Most cuts are straight, but you get full size patterns for all of the curved pieces such as the seat side frames (seen in photo).

Finished swing is 8' tall, 6-1/2' wide, and 8' long.

Our low-cost First Class shipping is only $3.5o -- most plans parcels arrive to U.S.A. customers in just 3-5 days.            Covering the back side of sandpaper with duct tape will make it last MUCH longer.            Keep your table saw push stick close at hand by fastening it to the front of your saw table with velcro or magnets so you can quickly grab it when needed.            Cloths used to wipe stain can be safely air dried in a well ventilated area away from pets and children.            Abrasive wheels can be cleaned of goo with cooking spray -- it also helps prevent buildup of particulate matter.            A roll up window blind or shade is a perfect place to store woodworking plans -- just tape them down and let the shade roll them up.            Use a moist cloth to slightly dampen your hands before feeding stock through a cutter -- it gives you a much better grip on the stock.            Measure twice, cut once -- the paramount rule of building!            If you have to bend small pieces of wood, wrap them in a damp towel and put them in the microwave for 2 minutes on high -- be certain no metal is present.            Welcome fellow woodworker!            White pencils are very useful in woodworking...they make easy to see lines on darker wood stocks.            Petroleum jelly and cooking oils make perfect inexpensive, non-toxic light stains for projects.            Call 1-800-296-6256 Mon-Fri from 8am to 2pm, EST, with your question or order.            Keep your saw blades clean at all times. A gooey blade can cause dangerous kick back.            Welcome fellow woodworker!            Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove.            Keep your stains and glues from freezing in your non-heated workshop by storing them in a plastic food cooler. Neat!            Extend the life of your tack cloths by putting them in baby food jars or ziplock storage bags.            The tips of different sizes of nails can be used as drill bits, working well on most wood stocks.            Old croquet mallets, cut down to size, make inexpensive backup woodworking mallets!            Did you know you can Mail-In your order? Check the left of the page for a Mail-In Orderform link.            Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole.            Sign up for FREE Email Sale Alerts and save 10-30% on plans from time to time. Check the left of the page for a link.            Wipe the clear sheild of your safety glasses with a dryer static cling sheet -- it will keep sawdust from sticking to them!
