Here is a classic style breadbox with a painted glass insert. Full size patterns are provided to spell out "bread" (as pictured) if you so choose. You might choose to insert another style of glass or just make it a solid top box.

A roll up window blind or shade is a perfect place to store woodworking plans -- just tape them down and let the shade roll them up.
