Antique Swan Rocker Plans
[AW-RC200]
$10.00

Here is a much sought after plan based on a design from decades ago -- or longer. Swan rockers similar to this one used to be quite popular toys. Many kids could only sit on and rock, while others like this one, you could actually sit in. Easy to make. The picture you see here was sent by customer Robert Archer of the United Kingdom -- proving your results can be fantastic when you use this plan.

Our swan rocker is 31" long, and 14" wide -- much larger than you might have imagined.

There are so many interesting painting, staining, and decoration ideas you could employ for this project! You will get full size patterns for easy tracing of the swan body, plus a list of the materials you need, and instructions in paragraph form for building.

See a photo of a customer's finished project.

If you have to bend small pieces of wood, wrap them in a damp towel and put them in the microwave for 2 minutes on high -- be certain no metal is present.            White pencils are very useful in woodworking...they make easy to see lines on darker wood stocks.            The tips of different sizes of nails can be used as drill bits, working well on most wood stocks.            Call 1-800-296-6256 Mon-Fri from 8am to 2pm, EST, with your question or order.            Covering the back side of sandpaper with duct tape will make it last MUCH longer.            Our low-cost First Class shipping is only $3.5o -- most plans parcels arrive to U.S.A. customers in just 3-5 days.            Keep your table saw push stick close at hand by fastening it to the front of your saw table with velcro or magnets so you can quickly grab it when needed.            Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole.            Old croquet mallets, cut down to size, make inexpensive backup woodworking mallets!            Did you know you can Mail-In your order? Check the left of the page for a Mail-In Orderform link.            Cloths used to wipe stain can be safely air dried in a well ventilated area away from pets and children.            Measure twice, cut once -- the paramount rule of building!            A roll up window blind or shade is a perfect place to store woodworking plans -- just tape them down and let the shade roll them up.            Welcome fellow woodworker!            Welcome fellow woodworker!            Petroleum jelly and cooking oils make perfect inexpensive, non-toxic light stains for projects.            Sign up for FREE Email Sale Alerts and save 10-30% on plans from time to time. Check the left of the page for a link.            Use a moist cloth to slightly dampen your hands before feeding stock through a cutter -- it gives you a much better grip on the stock.            Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove.            Wipe the clear sheild of your safety glasses with a dryer static cling sheet -- it will keep sawdust from sticking to them!            Keep your saw blades clean at all times. A gooey blade can cause dangerous kick back.            Abrasive wheels can be cleaned of goo with cooking spray -- it also helps prevent buildup of particulate matter.            Extend the life of your tack cloths by putting them in baby food jars or ziplock storage bags.            Keep your stains and glues from freezing in your non-heated workshop by storing them in a plastic food cooler. Neat!
