Airplane Swing w/ A-Frame Plans
[U-491]
$10.00

The project is designed with a joystick that permits side-to-side movement control -- very neat for any little aspiring pilot. We've had several photos sent in by happy woodworkers and excited kids, so we know for a fact that this project is being enjoyed by many. You can just imagine all of the interesting WWII era markings that could be employed.

All irregular pieces are made from full size, traceable patterns. Plan includes a materials list, cutting list, suggested painting guide, step-by-step assembly directions, and photos taken during construction. A-frame plan included. Finished plane: 51" long x 53" wingspan.

If you have to bend small pieces of wood, wrap them in a damp towel and put them in the microwave for 2 minutes on high -- be certain no metal is present.            White pencils are very useful in woodworking...they make easy to see lines on darker wood stocks.            Petroleum jelly and cooking oils make perfect inexpensive, non-toxic light stains for projects.            Use a moist cloth to slightly dampen your hands before feeding stock through a cutter -- it gives you a much better grip on the stock.            Keep your saw blades clean at all times. A gooey blade can cause dangerous kick back.            Call 1-800-296-6256 Mon-Fri from 8am to 2pm, EST, with your question or order.            Abrasive wheels can be cleaned of goo with cooking spray -- it also helps prevent buildup of particulate matter.            Welcome fellow woodworker!            Welcome fellow woodworker!            Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove.            Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole.            Wipe the clear sheild of your safety glasses with a dryer static cling sheet -- it will keep sawdust from sticking to them!            Measure twice, cut once -- the paramount rule of building!            Covering the back side of sandpaper with duct tape will make it last MUCH longer.            Cloths used to wipe stain can be safely air dried in a well ventilated area away from pets and children.            Old croquet mallets, cut down to size, make inexpensive backup woodworking mallets!            The tips of different sizes of nails can be used as drill bits, working well on most wood stocks.            Keep your stains and glues from freezing in your non-heated workshop by storing them in a plastic food cooler. Neat!            Extend the life of your tack cloths by putting them in baby food jars or ziplock storage bags.            Sign up for FREE Email Sale Alerts and save 10-30% on plans from time to time.
