Use a moist cloth to slightly dampen your hands before feeding stock through a cutter -- it gives you a much better grip on the stock. Covering the back side of sandpaper with duct tape will make it last MUCH longer. The tips of different sizes of nails can be used as drill bits, working well on most wood stocks. Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove. Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole. White pencils are very useful in woodworking...they make easy to see lines on darker wood stocks. A roll up window blind or shade is a perfect place to store woodworking plans -- just tape them down and let the shade roll them up.
