Here is another item to go with an Adirondack group. Use it as your snack tray, for books, magazines, or whatever requires more space than just the arm of a chair alone. The legs are removeable for easy, flat storage. Finished size of this table is 32" long, 19-1/2" wide, and 19" high. Easy for beginners.

All joinery is shown in actual size, curved workpieces are all in full size and you can measure and trace straight from the drawing. A bill of materials doubles as an exact cutting list, there is a detailed exploded diagram, and all hardware requirements are provided. The exploded diagram is so detailed that project specific assembly instructions are not provided. A special booklet entitled Guide to Building Wood Furniture is included with each Furniture Designs, Inc. plan and includes many tips explaining the "component theory" of woodworking.

White pencils are very useful in woodworking...they make easy to see lines on darker wood stocks. Wipe the clear sheild of your safety glasses with a dryer static cling sheet -- it will keep sawdust from sticking to them! Welcome fellow woodworker! Welcome fellow woodworker! If you have to bend small pieces of wood, wrap them in a damp towel and put them in the microwave for 2 minutes on high -- be certain no metal is present. Cloths used to wipe stain can be safely air dried in a well ventilated area away from pets and children. Keep your stains and glues from freezing in your non-heated workshop by storing them in a plastic food cooler. Neat! Keep your saw blades clean at all times. A gooey blade can cause dangerous kick back. The tips of different sizes of nails can be used as drill bits, working well on most wood stocks. Measure twice, cut once -- the paramount rule of building! Keep your table saw push stick close at hand by fastening it to the front of your saw table with velcro or magnets so you can quickly grab it when needed. Old croquet mallets, cut down to size, make inexpensive backup woodworking mallets! Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove. A roll up window blind or shade is a perfect place to store woodworking plans -- just tape them down and let the shade roll them up. Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole. Extend the life of your tack cloths by putting them in baby food jars or ziplock storage bags. Use a moist cloth to slightly dampen your hands before feeding stock through a cutter -- it gives you a much better grip on the stock. Covering the back side of sandpaper with duct tape will make it last MUCH longer. Abrasive wheels can be cleaned of goo with cooking spray -- it also helps prevent buildup of particulate matter.
