Here is a simple to build, traditional rocking horse with a seat height of 20". The patterns are all full size so you can simply trace and cut all pieces. A list of materials is included with instrutions for assembly and there are diagrams to aid assembly. This rocking horse is a great beginner project because the legs are fixed flat against the body -- no flare.

Sleek, forward-leaning design makes it look like he's running. You can elect to paint or stain the rocking horse, both of which were common in the 1950's rocking horse.
