Oval Back Windsor Chair Plans The oval back chair was traditionally used as a side chair. This chair includes a tail piece which was an option with chairmakers of the 18th century -- these bracing spindles make the chair much stronger by reinforcing the bow against stress loads. Finished size of authentic repro: 36 3/4" high, 15" wide, 21" deep. Plan includes large scaled and measured drawings, a list of materials, and some instruction -- this plan does not include full size patterns. We consider this project to be at the advanced level.
