Keep your saw blades clean at all times. A gooey blade can cause dangerous kick back. Use a moist cloth to slightly dampen your hands before feeding stock through a cutter -- it gives you a much better grip on the stock. Extend the life of your tack cloths by putting them in baby food jars or ziplock storage bags. Covering the back side of sandpaper with duct tape will make it last MUCH longer. Cloths used to wipe stain can be safely air dried in a well ventilated area away from pets and children. A roll up window blind or shade is a perfect place to store woodworking plans -- just tape them down and let the shade roll them up.
