Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove. Welcome fellow woodworker! White pencils are very useful in woodworking...they make easy to see lines on darker wood stocks. Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole. Keep your saw blades clean at all times.
