Pony Express Rocker
[U-738]
$10.00

One of our most popular rocking horse patterns. Simple, sturdy construction is proportioned perfectly and the cuts are made simple by use of the full size, traceable patterns provided. A customer and fellow woodworker like you sent us some photos of his project. We liked the photos so much, we decided to use them to help show why this is such a great project.

The customer who sent these photos you see to the left said that the horse came out "great" and that his grand daughter loves it. She was a little small for it at 1 year of age, but by 2 years old she'll surely be climbing all over it. It's a good medium size rocking horse.

You will receive full size patterns, a list of the materials you need to build the horse, photos, assembly diagrams, and instructions.

Finished size is 44" long, 25" tall.

Take a look at ANOTHER customer photo of this project!

Welcome fellow woodworker!            Did you know you can Mail-In your order? Check the left of the page for a Mail-In Orderform link.            Our low-cost First Class shipping is only $3.5o -- most plans parcels arrive to U.S.A. customers in just 3-5 days.            The tips of different sizes of nails can be used as drill bits, working well on most wood stocks.            A roll up window blind or shade is a perfect place to store woodworking plans -- just tape them down and let the shade roll them up.            Welcome fellow woodworker!            Call 1-800-296-6256 Mon-Fri from 8am to 2pm, EST, with your question or order.            Keep your saw blades clean at all times. A gooey blade can cause dangerous kick back.            Wipe the clear sheild of your safety glasses with a dryer static cling sheet -- it will keep sawdust from sticking to them!            Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole.            Sign up for FREE Email Sale Alerts and save 10-30% on plans from time to time. Check the left of the page for a link.            Measure twice, cut once -- the paramount rule of building!            White pencils are very useful in woodworking...they make easy to see lines on darker wood stocks.            Extend the life of your tack cloths by putting them in baby food jars or ziplock storage bags.            Petroleum jelly and cooking oils make perfect inexpensive, non-toxic light stains for projects.            Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove.            Covering the back side of sandpaper with duct tape will make it last MUCH longer.            Use a moist cloth to slightly dampen your hands before feeding stock through a cutter -- it gives you a much better grip on the stock.            Abrasive wheels can be cleaned of goo with cooking spray -- it also helps prevent buildup of particulate matter.            Keep your table saw push stick close at hand by fastening it to the front of your saw table with velcro or magnets so you can quickly grab it when needed.            Old croquet mallets, cut down to size, make inexpensive backup woodworking mallets!            Cloths used to wipe stain can be safely air dried in a well ventilated area away from pets and children.            If you have to bend small pieces of wood, wrap them in a damp towel and put them in the microwave for 2 minutes on high -- be certain no metal is present.            Keep your stains and glues from freezing in your non-heated workshop by storing them in a plastic food cooler. Neat!
