Pedestal Kaleidoscope Patterns
[FS-PK]
$18.00

This wooden kaleidoscope is clearly fit for a Victorian parlor. It has elegant "Old World" styling and distorts objects in dazzling color and with great clarity. Sources are included for the recommended surface mirrors. It is rare on any scope, but this scope has an adjustable mirror for multiple faceted images. A hand crank turns the object box and object box lighting can be added, detailed by the plan you receive. Sealed oil images can add a graceful snowfall effect. Quick-change object boxes. Add rainbow colored stained glass chips, iridescent chips like crystal chandelier, tiny seashells, rhinestones, or whatever you can imagine. The plan includes instructions and full size patterns for a pedestal which could also be used for a clock, birdcage, or other project. Inlay scrollwork in the sides.

Scope is 12" long and the pedestal stands 44" tall. Super interesting project. And if you like this sort of scrollsaw project, you HAVE to see the Marble Chest just for posterity.

Old croquet mallets, cut down to size, make inexpensive backup woodworking mallets!            Our low-cost First Class shipping is only $3.5o -- most plans parcels arrive to U.S.A. customers in just 3-5 days.            Did you know you can Mail-In your order? Check the left of the page for a Mail-In Orderform link.            Keep your saw blades clean at all times. A gooey blade can cause dangerous kick back.            Wipe the clear sheild of your safety glasses with a dryer static cling sheet -- it will keep sawdust from sticking to them!            Petroleum jelly and cooking oils make perfect inexpensive, non-toxic light stains for projects.            Call 1-800-296-6256 Mon-Fri from 8am to 2pm, EST, with your question or order.            Abrasive wheels can be cleaned of goo with cooking spray -- it also helps prevent buildup of particulate matter.            White pencils are very useful in woodworking...they make easy to see lines on darker wood stocks.            Keep your table saw push stick close at hand by fastening it to the front of your saw table with velcro or magnets so you can quickly grab it when needed.            Cloths used to wipe stain can be safely air dried in a well ventilated area away from pets and children.            Use a moist cloth to slightly dampen your hands before feeding stock through a cutter -- it gives you a much better grip on the stock.            Extend the life of your tack cloths by putting them in baby food jars or ziplock storage bags.            Keep your stains and glues from freezing in your non-heated workshop by storing them in a plastic food cooler. Neat!            Welcome fellow woodworker!            The tips of different sizes of nails can be used as drill bits, working well on most wood stocks.            Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove.            A roll up window blind or shade is a perfect place to store woodworking plans -- just tape them down and let the shade roll them up.            Measure twice, cut once -- the paramount rule of building!            Welcome fellow woodworker!            If you have to bend small pieces of wood, wrap them in a damp towel and put them in the microwave for 2 minutes on high -- be certain no metal is present.            Sign up for FREE Email Sale Alerts and save 10-30% on plans from time to time. Check the left of the page for a link.            Covering the back side of sandpaper with duct tape will make it last MUCH longer.            Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole.
