Parents love this playset because it's safe, durable, and works childrens' imaginations with small versions of things they see in real life. The two door refrigerator has a freezer on top and three storage shelves in the bottom section. The china cabinet displays and stores kid sized dishes. The sink is equipped with a plastic bowl for the basin and simulated hot and cold taps, while the range has a stovetop and an oven with a window on the door so kids can see what's cooking.

The refrigerator measures 35" tall, by 18" wide, by 14" deep. China cabinet measures 41" tall, by 24" wide, by 14" deep. Both the stove and sink measure 27" tall, by 24" wide, by 14" deep. A hardware kit is available, but most components can be gathered.

If you have to bend small pieces of wood, wrap them in a damp towel and put them in the microwave for 2 minutes on high -- be certain no metal is present. White pencils are very useful in woodworking...they make easy to see lines on darker wood stocks. Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove. Use a moist cloth to slightly dampen your hands before feeding stock through a cutter -- it gives you a much better grip on the stock. Covering the back side of sandpaper with duct tape will make it last MUCH longer. Petroleum jelly and cooking oils make perfect inexpensive, non-toxic light stains for projects.
