These plans detail a pretty simple doll cradle -- great for the beginner -- but it still has some detail and flare. It's sturdy for longevity and it's sure to get plenty of use by imaginative young children. It could also be used as a planter in the house, or in the flowerbed.

The length is 23", but this is a dimension that could be easily adjusted to your suite your specific needs or preference. 14" high, 15" wide. Wipe the clear sheild of your safety glasses with a dryer static cling sheet -- it will keep sawdust from sticking to them! Extend the life of your tack cloths by putting them in baby food jars or ziplock storage bags. Old croquet mallets, cut down to size, make inexpensive backup woodworking mallets! Use a moist cloth to slightly dampen your hands before feeding stock through a cutter -- it gives you a much better grip on the stock. Welcome fellow woodworker! Cloths used to wipe stain can be safely air dried in a well ventilated area away from pets and children. Keep your stains and glues from freezing in your non-heated workshop by storing them in a plastic food cooler. Neat! The tips of different sizes of nails can be used as drill bits, working well on most wood stocks. Covering the back side of sandpaper with duct tape will make it last MUCH longer. If you have to bend small pieces of wood, wrap them in a damp towel and put them in the microwave for 2 minutes on high -- be certain no metal is present. Petroleum jelly and cooking oils make perfect inexpensive, non-toxic light stains for projects. Keep your saw blades clean at all times. A gooey blade can cause dangerous kick back. White pencils are very useful in woodworking...they make easy to see lines on darker wood stocks. Measure twice, cut once -- the paramount rule of building! Abrasive wheels can be cleaned of goo with cooking spray -- it also helps prevent buildup of particulate matter. Welcome fellow woodworker! A roll up window blind or shade is a perfect place to store woodworking plans -- just tape them down and let the shade roll them up. Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove. Keep your table saw push stick close at hand by fastening it to the front of your saw table with velcro or magnets so you can quickly grab it when needed. Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole.
